I'm Kristie. Welcome to my blog! I am the owner of Kristie Kuo Photography and I'm also a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate for Omaha, Nebraska and its surrounding areas. Allow me to share a bit of my story and background with you.
My love for photography started in childhood. My mother used to dress my sister and me in matching outfits for photographs. At 12, my family emigrated from Taiwan to Argentina. In Argentina, photographs allowed me to capture good memories with friends as well as surrounding architecture and landscapes. It was in Buenos Aires where I began to hone my passion and my craft.
Twelve years later, on a missionary trip to Tijuana, my camera documented the three days I spent enjoying the culture and hospitality of the people. It was then that I realized the power of photojournalism.
After marriage and three kids, I was inspired to pick up the camera again because I realized that I was not capturing enough memories of my growing family. So on May 11, 2014 (Mother's Day) I went to Target and got myself a DSLR camera. The rest is history!
In June 2023, I achieved a long-time dream of mine by obtaining my real estate license and embarking on a new career as a real estate agent. It's something I have wanted to do for a while, and I am thrilled to finally have the opportunity. I am eager to assist my friends, family, and past clients with any real estate inquiries or needs they may have. If you're interested, feel free to contact me for a complimentary consultation on your home's value or a detailed report on your home equity for investment purposes.

Building good credit in college is one of the best financial moves students can make. Having good credit allows them to qualify for loans, rental applications, auto insurance, phone plans and can help them get a job.
Being responsible with credit is the best way to establish and improve a credit score. For college students without much credit history, there are small but important steps they can take to build up their score.
Obtaining a Student Credit Card
Some credit cards are marketed to students and others who don’t have much borrowing history. Federal laws restrict issuing credit cards to anyone under 21 unless the applicant has the independent ability to repay debt or has an adult co-signer who accepts joint liability for the account.
Student credit cards may have low credit limits, such as $1,000, but they are otherwise indistinguishable from other credit cards. They may even have features such as cash back, no annual fees and budget management tools.
Using Credit Cards Wisely
After getting a credit card, students can start using it slowly and for occasional, small purchases that can be paid for on time. This will help build credit history and help them stay out of debt.
Students shouldn’t let a new card sit in their wallet. They must use it or risk the bank closing it due to inactivity. Putting small, recurring charges on it, such as a Netflix account or other website subscription, is an easy way to maintain use at a low cost.
Students shouldn’t make any big purchases unless it’s an emergency. Having low debt levels on their credit card will allow them to have enough of a credit line available in an emergency, and will increase the credit utilization part of their credit score.
Building Credit With Student Loans
One of the last things college students want is to default on their student loans, as this affects credit.
Borrowers should make at least the minimum payment each month and do it on time. They should borrow only what they need to go to school, instead of using the funds to buy a car or dine out. Once they graduate, they may want to consolidate their student loans to get a better interest rate.
On-time payments and paying off student loans will improve the credit score over time. If students run into problems making payments, they should contact their student loan provider and ask for forbearance. Federal student loans also offer Income-Driven Repayment plans that base payments on a borrower’s income.
🌿 Elevating Home Value with Curb Appeal 🌿
They say first impressions matter, and when it comes to real estate, your home's curb appeal is the dazzling smile that welcomes potential buyers in! 💐✨
Imagine a landscape adorned with vibrant flowers, neatly trimmed shrubs, and a well-manicured lawn. 🌻🏡 This picturesque scene doesn't just delight the eyes; it can significantly boost your home's value. Here's how:
1️⃣ Instant Attraction: A colorful array of blooms at the front entrance is like a warm embrace to visitors, making them fall in love at first sight.
2️⃣ Increased Perceived Value: A well-kept landscape creates an impression of a meticulously maintained property, suggesting that the interior is just as impeccable.
3️⃣ Standout Listings: Homes with exceptional curb appeal are more likely to capture attention on real estate websites like Zillow and Realtor.com.
4️⃣ Higher Resale Value: Investing in landscaping pays off when you sell your home, often resulting in a higher selling price.
So, whether it's planting a flower bed, refreshing the mulch, or adding some outdoor lighting, consider the magic of curb appeal when selling your home. 🌸💰 Your garden could be the key to making potential buyers feel right at home!

Besides photography, I really enjoy gardening and playing piano. I have a small outdoor garden (mostly containers now) and two indoor garden by Gardyn.
One sorely contains strawberries and the other hydroponic indoor garden contains herbs, lettuces, and vegetables. Enclosed is a video making my kale banana berries smoothie.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I think these two indoor units act as great interior design element to my house! What do you think?
You have to check out Gardyn! It grows fresh herbs, veggies and fruit in your home with almost no work. I love mine, I think you would love it too.

My longstanding dream of becoming a real estate agent has now become a reality. With a strong desire to expand my knowledge in real estate investment, I took the leap in June 2023 and began my journey as a full-time realtor, while also pursuing my passion for portrait and headshot photography on the side.
I am now a real estate agent representing BHHS Ambassador Real Estate in Omaha, Nebraska, and the surrounding areas. I have over two decades of personal experience in buying and selling properties, and have established myself as a trusted Realtor. Prior to becoming a professional in the industry, I have successfully navigated numerous real estate transactions as both a seller and a buyer. Additionally, I have also gained valuable insights as an investor, private lender, and even as a real estate client myself. Recognizing the significance of a positive real estate experience, I am committed to treating my clients with the same care and consideration as I would my own family members. Rest assured, I will always have your best interests at heart and will fearlessly negotiate on your behalf.
If you're currently looking to buy a house or any investment property, feel free to give me a call. I'm also here to assist you with any other real estate needs you may have. And remember, I'm available to help you sell your house whenever you need it.

One of my aspirations has always been to capture boudoir photography. I feel that as women, we often lack opportunities to truly appreciate our bodies and display our self-assuredness, irrespective of our physical form or size. I hold the belief that every woman possesses beauty. My aim is to empower women by showcasing their elegance through the lens and preserving their unique charm.
Given the intimate nature of boudoir photography, I refrain from displaying such content on my website or social media platforms. My focus is on maintaining strict privacy, and I exclusively accept referrals from former clients, friends, and colleagues. A complimentary consultation is essential for all boudoir inquiries, during which we discuss your concept, attire choices, and studio arrangements. Feel free to reach out via phone or text to discuss your project further.

We have known Nicole for many years. Her parents own a restaurant near 180th and Q street (China Bowl) and we have always purchased food to go from the restaurant.
Nicole is a hard working and smart girl. On top of that, she is so sweet and talented!
The day we had her session, it was cold and rainy. Therefore we have decided to go to a local nursery (Mulhall's Nursery located near 120th and Maple St) for the photoshoot. I knew it was going to be dark and gloomy so I brought my strobe lights and umbrellas. Below are some of Nicole's favorites.
Hello, I haven't introduced myself on here for a while so I thought I'd do that again. A big warm hello to all of you. My name is Kristie and I'm the photographer, artist, and graphic designer behind Kristie Kuo Photography (KZM STUDIOS).
When I was 25 I fell in love with photography after I went to a mission trip in Mexico. I was in charge of documenting our group’s three-day trip for my church (film camera). Fast forward 17 years I purchased my first DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera and in two years I decided to go for it and Kristie Kuo Photography was born.
I spend most of my days culling and editing photos and love every minute of it. For me, what I do is so much more than just a job, it's something I picture myself doing for years to come because it allows me to express my creativity, and I honestly couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I'm also a wife to a very supportive husband who sometimes assist me with my shoots. He also helped investing in my startup equipments. I am also a mom to three wonderful children. Once in a while, I freelance as a medical interpreter to translate mandarin into english. I am obsessed with listening to classical relaxation music and watching action movies in my free time.
I'd love to get to know you a little better, comment below and come say hello and tell me where you're from, it's always so much fun to see where everyone is!
More than one month ago, I had the opportunity to take headshots for some friends and family. I have always enjoyed photographing commercial, branding, and student headshots. I wish I had more time to take more headshots for my family. Maybe next time. Below is the portfolio for my recent project.
March 25th, 2021, I had the opportunity to take the very first Girls Tennis Team sports pictures for Elkhorn North High School. There were total of 34 girls for four different teams (Varsity, JV, Reserve Blue, and Reserve Black/Silver). All the girls were so polite and easy to work with. In addition to the group photos I also took individual headshots for each one of them.
A vinyl banner was created for this project (size 4 feet x 8 feet). It is the biggest one I have ever created so far and it turned out awesome!
Below are some group picture samples:
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take some model and actor headshots for this adorable and beautiful girl named Elaina. She is so far my youngest model (only four years old)! It was a gorgeous day but we have decided to go indoor to Mulhall's nursery located in Omaha, Nebraska for the photoshoot. All I can say is, she is a natural in front of the camera and very photogenic. I can't wait to see her succeed in this field!
